Prince Harry and Meghan urged to 'dig deep' and 'show grit' after snub in Emmy shortlist
A senior therapist and relationship expert has weighed in on what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle need to do next after another major snub.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been urged to "dig deep" when it comes to choosing a future path.
Senior therapist and relationship expert Sally Baker from Working On The Body has said the couple now have "an opportunity to show grit and determination", particularly after the latest in a string of recent snubs for the couple.
Earlier this week, the couple's docuseries, which aired in December 2022, failed to appear on the latest Emmy Award nominations list.
The popular list featured shows that aired between June 2022 and May 2023, meaning the Sussexes' show would have been eligible.
Speaking about the perceived snub, Ms Baker said: "Doubters and haters are going to hate and doubt and will use their omission from the Emmy Awards after making the shortlist to further damn Meghan and Harry's creative work."
Speaking to Mirror US, she continued: "Had they won they'd be accused of being mere shoo-ins."
Ms Baker added that the couple need to "earn their professional stripes to quiet the dissenters".
The latest blow comes after the couple's multi-million-pound deal with Spotify came to an end last month.
It was announced, via an official joint statement from the company and the Sussexes, that the decision to part ways was mutual.
The statment read: "Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together."
Soon after, it was also reported that their Netflix deal, which they also signed in 2020, was "hanging in the balance".
Despite the Emmys snub, Meghan and Harry have been nominated for another award - also for their Netflix series.
The series, simply titled 'Harry and Meghan', has recently been nominated for the Best Streaming Nonfiction Series in the Hollywood Critics Awards (HCA).

Meghan and Harry signed multiple lucrative deals following their departure from the Royal Family in 2020.
PR expert and GoUp's chief executive Edward Coram-James previously told Express.co.uk that Meghan and Harry's popularity, and futures, "hinges on charitable causes".
The PR expert encouraged the couple to think about taking on some "important work around internationally important subjects" and returning to their work on areas such as army veterans and women's rights.
Coram-James believes that this is the key to the Sussexes getting back on the right path, adding that in his opinion, they have always appeared "completely genuine" when it comes to charitable projects.
