Antiques Road Trip: Earrings make a huge profit
Antiques Road Trip expert Catherine Southon was left amazed when a pair of earrings she bought for £30 made an 'unbelievable' profit.
The star Bargain Hunt was seen with Izzie Balmer as the pair went on a treasure hunt in Cornwall. Catherine found a pair of earrings that surprised both her and Izzie at auction.
Antiques Road Trip Twitter showed the earrings making a great start, as the show teased: "Straight in at £220! Catherine's £30 earrings and Art Nouveau pendant really jump-started this Roadtrip. What a profit for [Catherine]! Will [Izzie] be able to bridge the gap?"
In the video, the narrator said: "It's the final lot of the day."
Izzie told Catherine: "I just don't think you can go wrong with this, I'm so excited for you," as the bidding started at £220. Catherine was thrilled, saying: "Yes! That's brilliant. Yes! Oh, wonderful."

When the bid reached £260, Catherine said: "£260? I would be happy with £120. I would have been over the moon with £120."
The bid went up to £280, making Izzie say: "Oh my goodness."
When the auction ended, Izzie clapped for Catherine, who thanked her. Izzie replied: "That's amazing."
Catherine finished the first day of the challenge feeling great.
Izzie didn't do as well, ending the day with £180, while Catherine won with £408.

"That was impressive," said Izzie, and Catherine answered: "I'm going to have a little crown and all sorts."
But on Tuesday, Catherine didn't have the same luck and lost money on Bargain Hunt.
Izzy did better and earned £51.40.
Still, Catherine's big win on the first day keeps her in the lead with £390.67 against Izzie's £231.70.
