Sunday Brunch's Tim Lovejoy says 'let's move on' after 'awkward' exchange with guest

Channel 4's Sunday Brunch Simon Rimmer was left red-faced as SAS: Who Dares Wins star Jason Fox made a racy confession on air.

Tim Lovejoy embarrassed after asking Jason Fox about honeymoon

Sunday Brunch co-host Tim Lovejoy found himself rushing to “move on” after completing an awkward exchange with guest Jason Fox. The Channel 4 studio erupted in hysterics when the SAS: Who Dares Wins star was asked to disclose intimate honeymoon details.

On the latest edition of Sunday Brunch, Tim, 56 and fellow anchor Simon Rimmer, 60, were joined by Jason, 47, as well as Sue Perkins, 54, and singer Jess Glynne, 34. During the show, talk turned to former Royal Marine Commando and his recent wedding vows.

“We need to say congratulations to one of our guests - Jason went and got married so congratulations, Jason," Tim began. "Did you enjoy it?”

After responding in the affirmative, the star revealed he and his wife toasted with tapas in Covent Garden after tying the knot in the capital. Following their vows, Jason and his spouse travelled to Jordan for their honeymoon.

Upon finding out the destination, Tim asked what he’d been up to on his travels. “It was my honeymoon,” he offered with a sly smile that sent the studio into a fit of laughter.

Former Great British Bake Off host Sue quickly quipped: "Come on guys, not while I'm eating!” while Tim was visibly blushing before he encouraged the conversation to “move on”.

Jason’s appearance on the Sunday morning cooking staple follows the release of his new book, Embrace the Chaos.

Speaking about the guide earlier this year, the TV star said: "I know better than anyone that life can feel chaotic and overwhelming at times, but I have also learned that we are capable of so much more than we think.

“This book is about probing our limits, embracing challenges and accepting change. It is about pushing ourselves that little bit further – sometimes taking big leaps into the unknown, sometimes small steps or behavioural shifts that can make a real difference.”

He added that he hopes it “prompts readers to embrace new experiences” as well as improve their lives on a daily basis.

Earlier this week, Jason appeared on This Morning and revealed his thoughts on former health secretary Matt Hancock.

The 45-year-old was one of the contestants on the 2023 iteration of Celebrity SAS and later claimed it was one of the “toughest” thing’s he’d ever experienced.

Speaking to Ben Shephard, Jason said: “Um, I mean, he turned up… He put a shift in.”

“He would put 110% in but he never let his barrier down. We didn’t know whether we could trust him.”

“He didn’t do enough to show us that he was willing to put it all on the line for other people around him.”

He later went on to say that Gareth Gates’ efforts on the reality competition “massively” surprised him.

“The person that has basically surprised us and did unbelievably, probably the best one we’ve had, he’s pipped Wayne Bridge to the post now, was Gareth Gates. He was a machine.”

You can tune into Sunday Brunch every Sunday at 9.30am on Channel 4.
