This Morning fans ask same question as ITV airs 'simple' segment
This Morning presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard asked viewers what their favourite sandwich was to celebrate British Sandwich Week.
John Torode makes sandwiches on This Morning
As Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard hosted Monday's episode of This Morning, the pair asked viewers to vote for their favourite sandwich as part of British Sandwich Week.
The pair were joined in the kitchen by Masterchef judge John Torode who was on hand to make his gourmet sandwiches as he whipped up a storm on the ITV show.
While making a sandwich, John, 58, showed Cat, 47, and Ben, 49, how to put a lettuce leaf correctly inside a sandwich and also said the sauce acts as a glue to get all the ingredients to stick together inside.
He explained: "So it holds into it's spot, because if we go that way, it's going to fall out," John expressed as the duo looked on amazed.
However, viewers at home weren't best pleased with the segment and questioned why the show was showing them how to make a sandwich.

One ITV viewer expressed on X, formerly known as Twitter: "#thismorning making a sandwich pretty simple why show us how to make it when we already know lol." (sic)
Another sarcastically said: "How to make a sandwich. Tomorrow on #thismorning - how to tie your shoelaces."
Somebody else penned: "We have called this twitter, we said they would teach us how to make a butty. And here we are... #ThisMorning."
While yet another wrote: "Oh ffs! Torode trying to teach us how to make a sandwich! He's screwed up already - where's the butter?? What's the item tomorrow, how to boil a kettle? #thismorning."

A fifth said: "Being taught how to make a f*****g sandwich. #ThisMorning." (sic)
While a sixth added: "#thismorning Sorry I'm late gang. Obviously haven't missed anything. I'm sure I can make a sandwich."
After John's segment, Cat and Ben revealed that viewers had voted the BLT (Bacon Lettuce Tomato) as the nation's favourite sandwich.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
