ITV's Brenda Edwards was spotted for the first time without her eye patch after she suffered an infection despite revealing she is not in the clear.

Brenda Edwards suffered an infection that forced her to wear an eye patch when she appeared on Loose Women last week. During Monday’s instalment, the 55-year-old removed it after she issued an update and revealed she was on the road to recovery.
Charlene White, who was leading the panel, kicked off the show by pointing out that she was noticeably patch-free. She was heard saying: “We have got to talk about the elephant in the room. You have just got one eye with makeup on and one eye not.”
Before quizzing her and asking, “Did you forget?”, Brenda revealed that she is on the mend and was able to finally remove the protective eyewear following her ordeal.
The ITV star even joked that co-star Linda Robson was originally under the impression that she had just rushed her makeup. With her shouting “You have only done one eye”.
“I did not forget, Linda thought I had done one eye. No, I had the patch and it has gone down so you know, yeah I am without a patch. But also, without makeup because I can’t put makeup on it.” Charlene, 43, chimed in and added: “So that is why she has only got one made-up eye today,”
“Nobody needs to email in or ask if she has forgotten now we have covered that,” she joked.
Last week, the presenter confessed on air that she was not donning a fashion accessory but was protecting viewers from seeing her grim eye infection.
At the time, she explained: "I’ve just got an allergic reaction to something, you know hay fever sufferers, so I’m wearing a patch and it’s fine.”

Cautious not to make things worse, Brenda continued: "I’m trying not to get any more dust particles in it.”
After wearing the patch for several days, Brenda showed off her swollen eye which appeared irritated and painful.
She shared on Instagram to her 120,000 followers: "Hi guys, it's day two of Loose Women, I just want to say thank you for the messages of support for my eye infection. It's got a bit worse today,”
“I was hoping it would get better when I went to bed last night and woke up, but it got a little bit worse.”
"So, I am going to the eye hospital to see if they can figure out what is going on,” she added.
During the show, the ladies were joined by Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor who appeared as a special guest.
