Jurgen Klopp dismisses Mohamed Salah transfer talk
Mohamed Salah may face a frosty reunion with old foe Sergio Ramos if he joins Al-Ittihad this summer. The Saudi Pro League champions are reportedly preparing an offer worth £128.7m for the Egyptian superstar despite Liverpool's insistence that he is not for sale.
Al-Ittihad are also hunting for a marquee centre-back addition with former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain defender Ramos having emerged as an option. Salah and Ramos have an infamous feud dating back to the 2018 Champions League final when Salah's shoulder was dislocated after a challenge from Sergio Ramos.
Salah left the pitch in tears and was forced to watch his side suffer a devastating 3-1 defeat from the sidelines. Jurgen Klopp was incensed by Ramos' conduct and aired his frustrations in his post-match press conference.
"If you watch it back and you are not with Real Madrid then you think it is ruthless and brutal," Klopp told assembled media.

If VAR is coming then it is a situation where you have to look again. Not to give a red card but to look again and say: ‘What is that?’ It was ruthless."
After the game, the former Spain captain came under fire for declaring that Salah "could’ve played the second half" if he "had an injection" and showed no remorse for his actions. In response, Salah fired back: “It’s funny... My comment is that it’s always okay when the one who made you cry first, then makes you laugh. Maybe he could also tell me if I’m going to be ready for the World Cup?”

However, speaking ahead of the Reds' quarter-final clash with Los Blancos in 2021, Salah insisted that he had put the events of 2018 behind him. "That game is in the past, so I don't think about [what happened with Ramos]," Salah told Marca.
"I'm thinking about the team. Everyone is focused on their team and everyone wants to win... that's it. Let's just say that I have special motivation to win the tie and go through to the semi-finals. What's going to happen now isn't going to change the result of the final in Kyiv. That's in the past."
