Annie star Bernadette Peters, 76, dazzled in a see-through dress revealing her underwear.

The Hollywood actress looked stunning as she graced the red carpet in a slinky purple gown adorned with sequins and jewels.

The dress, featuring thin straps, a deep neckline and a cinched waist, accentuated her timeless and ageless curves.

The partially transparent ensemble revealed a generous amount of skin, making for a striking appearance.

Bernadette styled her beautiful auburn curls in a voluminous middle parting, complemented by subtle makeup.

She even performed on stage at the event

She opted for a flawless base, blusher, pink lipstick and mascara to enhance her eyes as she posed elegantly.

The actress was seen at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Gala: Celebrating Tony Bennett, where she also performed on stage.

Joining her were Ruben Blades, Kristin Chenoweth and Norm Lewis, all performing classic Bennett songs.

Peters, who first made waves in the 1970s, is perhaps best known for her role as Lily in 1982's Annie.

Fans may also recognise her from 1997's Cinderella and 1991's Into the Woods, among other notable appearances such as The Carol Burnett Show, The Odyssey and Ugly Betty.

This year, Bernadette has graced the West End in Sondheim's Old Friends and shows no signs of slowing down - she's set to make several other appearances according to reports. Besides her musical career, Peter is also a children's book author.

She has been a part of the industry for over six decades and is a highly praised Broadway performer. Bernadette has also bagged two Tony Awards and four of the Broadway cast albums she has featured on have won Grammy Awards.

On stage, she is most recognised for her roles in Mack and Mabel, Song and Dance, Gypsy, Follies, A Little Night Music, Annie Get Your Gun and Hello, Dolly!

She has also released six solo albums and often performs solo.
