Meghan Markle speaks about Prince Harry at SXSW panel

has decided he will attend the next Invictus Games event in London solo, marking a major change as his wife would once always accompany him on visits.

The Duke of Sussex will fly back to the UK for a special commemorative service celebrating ten years since the first Invictus Games at St Paul's Cathedral.

Harry famously made his first public appearance with Meghan as his girlfriend at Invictus 2017 in Toronto, however she has reportedly decided to skip this event over fears of receiving a "hostile reception".

ITV's royal editor Chris Shop told The Sun's Matt Wilkinson on the publication's Royal Exclusive show: "The first one [Invictus event] was in London and then there was one in Florida, and we've had Toronto where he first introduced Meghan to the world.

"I remember being there as she walked into that court, in Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto. He’s [Harry’s] coming back to mark the 10th anniversary of Invictus. He's going to give a reading at St. Paul's Cathedral. Meghan's not coming with him, so no Duchess of Sussex."

Mr Ship also explained: "The difficulty is you remember last time they went to St Paul's Cathedral, which was for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee, they got booed.

"We heard the boos for them. We should be clear there was also people cheering for them, but there were definitely boos at St Paul's Cathedral. So going back there I can see why Meghan may not wish to accompany Harry there."

Royal fans say same thing about Meghan Markle on Archie's birthday

Royal fans are all making the same observation as Prince Archie celebrates his fifth birthday in California.

Sharing photos of the young prince from the past five years, everyone is commenting on just how much he looks like his mother, Meghan Markle.

One said: "Prince Archie really is a Meghan Markle 'mini-me'."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'ruined' King Charles's first year as monarch

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of "ruining" King Charles's first year as monarch, as the 75-year-old quietly marks the one year anniversary of his coronation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been savaged by royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, who claims that they have launched "unfair" attacks on the Firm - despite continuing to "cash in" on their royal affiliations and connections.

It's been an unprecedented year for the Royal Family - with Princess Kate and King Charles announcing their cancer battles while Prince William also stepped back from royal duties to care for his wife and three children.

But things have been made even harder thanks to the Sussexes' retaliation, Mr Fitzwilliam claims, as even though they are thousands of miles away in Montecito, California, they are stilll managing to affect King Charles's reign after the publication of Harry's controversial tell-all memoir Spare among other things.

He told The Sun: "The facts simply are with Harry and Megan that after Spare enough was enough, so he had them evicted from Frogmore Cottage, and I don’t think they expected it. And they certainly didn’t like it.

"But the revelations in Spare, and not only the attacks on the Royal Family in that book and in the interviews surrounding it, which large numbers of people, watched, of course that Harry was responsible for, and it was his memoir."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'deny refusing King Charles's £18k Archie birthday gift'

Prince Harry has "denied" claims that he is preventing King Charles from gifting his grandson, Prince Archie, a unique birthday present worth around £18,000. A source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has refuted allegations that the couple are against the King's proposed gift for their son, who turned five on Monday.

Royal author Tom Quinn says that King Charles had suggested giving Archie a shepherd's hut playhouse, complete with bunks and bookshelves. He noted that the monarch had previously gifted a similar hut to Prince George, and wished to do the same for Archie, demonstrating equal affection for all five of his grandchildren.

However, Quinn alleges that Meghan Markle wants Archie to associate his birthdays with American traditions, as he frequently asks about his UK-based Royal Family. The author shared that Archie, who is sixth in line to the British throne, is fascinated by the idea of his grandfather living in a castle, and Meghan fears that a similarly lavish gift might further pique his interest in his royal heritage.

Prince Archie's very unusual present from late Queen that Meghan Markle insisted on

The late Queen Elizabeth II, eager to find the perfect Christmas gift for her great-grandson Prince Archie, once turned to Meghan Markle for guidance. Prince Archie had a specific wish when he was two and his mother informed his grandmother about it, leading to the Queen arranging for the quirky gift to be sent to the Sussexes' residence in Montecito, California.

Prince Harry shared this amusing anecdote with James Corden while visiting The Late Late Show. He told the TV host: "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker.

"So she sent us a waffle maker for Archie, so breakfast now Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes. He loves it. And now I have waffles for breakfast, bit of yoghurt, bit of jam on top. I don't know if that's the right thing to do. Berries, bit of honey."

Corden, however, looked bewildered and challenged Harry, replying: "Sorry you're glossing over the fact that I cannot for the life of me imagine the Queen ordering a waffle maker to be sent to Santa Barbara. I can't get my head around it."

Prince Archie's little-known official royal title snubbed by Meghan Markle

and do not use the title Earl of Dumbarton for their son , which he was reportedly entitled to when he was born as he is the son of a Duke.

Archie is celebrating his fifth birthday today, May 6, and while he and little sister initially did not have royal titles when they were born they inherited them after their grandfather King Charles became monarch.

In March 2023 a Sussex spokesperson said in a statement: "I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor."

This confirmed they had decided to let Archie and Lilibet use the titles Prince and Princess, with the Royal Family website later updated to reflect these changes.

Royal historian Carolyn Harris previously told Town & Country magazine: "Archie will be able to use the title of HRH Prince when Charles becomes King, but it is possible that he will not use this title.

"Archie will not be able to pass the title of Prince or Princess to his children as they will be another generation removed from the sovereign, but the title of Duke of Sussex will pass to Prince Harry's male line descendants."

Princess Beatrice gives update on mum Sarah Ferguson's health after cancer scare

Princess Beatrice appeared on This Morning earlier today, where she gave an update on her mum Sarah Ferguson's health following her cancer diagnosis.

She said: "She's doing really well thank you Josie, she's had a bumpy health scare last year but all clear now, and at 64 she's thriving, she's been through so much, but I think now she's really coming into her own.

"I think we're just reminded when any parent or individual has a health scenario, just really get the checks that you need to get and as early as you possibly can.

"Both my sister and I are so proud of her for taking those steps to get those checks, and we've modelled our health considerations on that.

"We're really lucky in the UK to make sure that we can get those checks and hopefully we can be there to support each other when anyone goes through a health scare."

Meghan Markle's key decision 'prompts huge sigh of relief' from Kensington Palace

Meghan Markle has decided not to come with her husband Prince Harry when he travels back to the UK this week.

Royal expert Tom Quinn explained to The Mirror: "The shock of Kate’s recent cancer diagnosis provides one possible route through all the difficulties surrounding these family meetings.

"If anything will make Harry behave as he used to behave before his marriage it will be the shock of potentially losing someone he once described as 'the sister he always wanted'.

"William hates the idea of meeting Harry again. For Kate it’s different. She finds the idea of meeting Harry far less awkward just so long as Meghan isn’t around.

"Which is why, at Kensington Palace there was a huge sigh of relief when it was confirmed that Meghan would not be accompanying her husband to the UK.

"William and Kate have always attributed the change in Harry – from a charming if wilful boy to an angry young man – to Meghan’s influence. Kate supports her husband, but still sees Harry as a troubled little boy who just needs attention and unconditional love."

Prince Archie almost had a different name after Meghan and Harry 'couldn’t decide'

Prince Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on May 6 2019, but his names were almost the other way around.

While in The Hague for the Invictus Games in 2022, Meghan was chatting to a woman with a son named Harrison and said she "couldn't decide" what to call her son initially.

Sherry McBain told the PA News Agency: "[Meghan] was like 'Harrison, that's Archie's middle name', and Mandy was like 'Yeah, I know'."

She explained that: "Harry and Meghan couldn't decide between Archie and Harrison for the first name."

Prince Harry's true feelings towards King Charles revealed after 'telling gesture'

Prince Harry's feelings towards his estranged father King Charles may have been revealed through a "telling gesture" at the Coronation last year.

Royal author Robert Hardman wrote in his book Charles III: New King, New Court: "As the National Anthem reaches the end of the first verse, the King is alongside the royal pews where the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh, both in the front row, plunge into floor-scraping curtseys.

"All the men bow, including the Duke of Sussex in row three. Indeed, tellingly, he drops his head for longer than most."

The King and his son will be reunited later this week when Harry is in London.

Meghan Markle was given 'rare honour' from King Charles before leaving the Royal Family

Meghan Markle stepped down as a working royal alongside Prince Harry in 2020, but before she left she was honoured by King Charles.

Former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole told GBN America: "It's really hard to puzzle where it all went so badly wrong.

"She could not have been welcomed more into this country or the Royal Family."

He added that the King walking Meghan down the aisle in place of her own father Thomas Markle due to her "estranged relationship with her father and most family members" was a "rare honour".

Mr Cole said: "That was a great honour, and the late Queen went out of her way to make a friend of Doria, her mother."

King Charles's Coronation anniversary 'bittersweet' as he misses out on Archie's birthday

The anniversary of King Charles's Coronation also falls on his grandson Prince Archie's birthday.

Royal expert Phil Dampier claims the occasion will be "bittersweet" for the King as he will be "heartbroken" not to be able to celebrate with his grandson.

He told The Sun: "It’s a bittersweet day for the King when he marks the anniversary of his Coronation as it’s also Archie’s birthday.

"I’m sure it breaks Charles’s heart that his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet are growing up on the West Coast with American accents and yet he hardly knows them.

"Harry and Meghan may arrange occasional Zoom calls but it’s not the same as seeing them in person."

King Charles set to 'reach out' to Prince Archie on fifth birthday with touching gesture

King Charles is hoping to be able to speak to his grandson Prince Archie today as it is his fifth birthday.

The King has only seen his youngest grandchildren once since they moved to California, during the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror that the King is "desperate" to see Archie and Princess Lilibet more, and wants to call his grandson to wish him a happy birthday.

He said: "King Charles dislikes new technology, but is desperate to keep in touch with his grandchildren on the other side of the Atlantic so he will certainly call Harry and wish Archie Happy Birthday."

Meghan Markle's recent move shows 'growth' in marriage to Prince Harry

A fashion expert has claimed that Meghan Markle's decision to change her engagement ring symbolises "growth" in her marriage to Prince Harry.

Prince Harry asked Meghan to marry him in 2017 with a stunning diamond ring that held a central stone from Botswana and two smaller diamonds from his late mother Princess Diana's collection.

Now it seems the ring may have been modified, with some of the stones seeming larger.

Tony French from jewellery shop Austen & Blake told GB News about the modifications: "Engagement rings evolve and so do relationships, it's a testament to a couple's unique story. This could reflect growth, milestones and the enduring commitment shared between partners."

Prince Archie's very unusual present from late Queen that Meghan Markle insisted on

Meghan Markle once asked the late Queen Elizabeth to buy an unusual gift for Prince Archie one Christmas, and she happily obliged.

Prince Harry told the story to James Corden: "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker.

"So she sent us a waffle maker for Archie, so for breakfast now Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes. He loves it.

Prince Harry 'privately expressed' his wish to speak with William but 'now not the time'

Prince Harry and Prince William will not be reuniting when he travels to London this week for an Invictus Games event.

Although it is hoped Harry will be able to spend some time with King Charles, sadly the same cannot be said for his older brother.

A source told The Mirror: "

Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can.

"He has been especially concerned about him and hopes the King will be well and able to see him as planned.

"Their [Harry and William's] relationship remains extremely fractured. Harry has privately expressed a wish to sit down with his brother but now is not the time."

Prince Archie's bizarre £200 designer gift from Meghan's friend that usually costs £1

Little Prince Archie is celebrating his fifth birthday today, and will no doubt be showered with love and plenty of gifts.

For his first birthday back in 2020, Meghan Markle's pal Priyanka Chopra Jonas bought him a bubble blower from Tiffany worth £200.

Royal cokmentator Ingrid Seward told The Sun: "The insistence on normality is never an easy objective for members of the Royal Family to achieve.

"Archie’s parents have rich friends who are going to lavish him with expensive gifts. He won’t be wearing clothes from Primark, that’s for sure."

King Charles's nine-word complaint as he arrived for Coronation at Westminster Abbey

King Charles was apparently concerned about time keeping when he arrived for his Coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6 last year.

A lip reader has given an insight into what the King was saying as he waited in his carriage outside the Abbey.

The expert said that His Majesty was moaning to his wife Queen Camilla about running behind schedule, as he said: "We can never be on time, there's always something..."

In fact it was Prince William and Princess Kate, accompanied by their two younger children Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who were running a little late and the King and Queen had to wait for them.
